Raise A Child, Shape A Nation: The Josiah Generation

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)

Biblical Virtues to Pray for Our Children - 2009

1.      Salvation. “Lord, let salvation spring up within (child’s name), that he may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory”  (Is. 45:8, 2Tim 2:10)

2.      Growth in grace. “ I pray (child’s name) grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Pet. 3:18)
 

3.      Love. “Lord, grant (child’s name) to learn to live a life of love, through the Spirit who dwells in him” (Gal5:25, Eph 5:2)

4.      Honesty and integrity. “May integrity and honesty be (child’s name) virtue and his protection” (Ps 25:21)

5.      Respect (self, others, authority). “Father, grant (child’s name) to show proper respect to everyone, as your Word commands” (1 Pet. 2:17)

6.      Purity. “Create in (child’s) a pure heart, O, God, and let that purity of heart be shown in his actions” (Ps 51:10)

7.      Hope. “May the God of hope grant (child’s name) an overflow with hope and hopefulness by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Ro 15:13).

Goals and Objectives for Children of Hope International– Intercessors ( age 12 &under)

1.      Train, equip and empower children intercessors worldwide especially in metro Detroit area.

2.      Release children in salvation, gifts of the Spirit, and ministry (Isa 44:3)

3.      Host children intercessory conferences and seminars. (2009-2012)

4.      Collaborate with children ministries, churches, schools, community organizations, children groups, and vacation bible schools.

      5.  Build 12 homes for orphaned and abandoned children worldwide especially in Africa.
      6.  Raise up 1000 donors/sponsors/supporters of projects.

 

As Jesus bore the cross towards Calvary, He said, “…Daughters of  Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children” (Luke 23:28),  I pray that God will give us that kind of heart; that out of our eyes we will see the weakness, the sinfulness, and the vulnerability of our seed and that we will weep before the Lord in intercession for our children.

Time Frame:                    1 year (April 2009 - March 2010)

Monthly Financial Gift:     $10 USD per month.  Each partner will donate $10 per month or $120.
