The word "valor" denotes bravery, gallantry, heroism, fearlessness and courage.  Society has redefined manhood or maleness is so many different ways, from the hip-hop rapper to the bodybuilder, to the successful business executive.

     Yet theres is an example of male courage and valor in the biblical text that may help some godly men in their moments of doubt and fear.  The scenario is noted in Judges 6, where God calls a man hiding from the terrorist attacks of the Philistines.  It is, however, this man that God calls "a mighty man of valor," who is to deliver his people from enemy.
